Delete Your BookMyPandiit Account
You can delete your account and its data without reinstalling the app. Either route below works, and both end in the same place.
1. How to ask
Acknowledgement within 24 hours for a data-class matter.
2. What is deleted
Family members, saved addresses, devices and notification preferences are hard-deleted. Gotra, nakshatra, birth details and the addresses carried on past bookings are crypto-shredded — the key unique to your account is destroyed and the ciphertext becomes unreadable. Completion-evidence photos and video are deleted unless an open matter holds them. Sessions and refresh tokens are revoked and marketing contact stops the same day. Your user row is tombstoned: phone, name and email are overwritten, reviews survive but are re-attributed to “BookMyPandiit devotee”, and analytics rows have their user id nulled.
3. What is kept, and for how long
Every period here renders from the same retention schedule the privacy policy uses, so the two can never disagree.
4. What happens after you ask
- Same day
- Identity verified by OTP; account deactivated, sessions revoked, marketing stopped, no new bookings
- 30-day grace
- Signing in during this window cancels the closure
- Blockers
- A confirmed future booking, an open refund, dispute or grievance is resolved first — we name the blocker and its reference rather than refusing silently
- Then
- Deletion runs, and a confirmation goes to your registered contact
5. Where to check
The privacy policy carries the retention section this page renders, and the grievance page names the officer who runs the request. A pandit’s closure follows the same path, with payouts settled before the account closes.
No. The email route on this page is a full deletion path and requires nothing installed.
A confirmed future booking is a blocker: it is completed or cancelled first, under the refund policy, and then the deletion runs.
Yes, as a new account. Nothing from the deleted one is restored, including reviews and past invoices.
