What decides the cost of a Tarpan
Tarpan is the shortest of the ancestral rites and the least expensive. Sesame, kusha and water are the whole of the material. Kept daily through Pitru Paksha it is a series of appointments rather than one, and is quoted that way.
What is different in Nalanda
The district is small towns and villages around Bihar Sharif, so distances between an address and the nearest available pandit are longer than in a city and the travel band shows it. Anything beyond the common samagri list comes from Bihar Sharif or from Patna.
