What decides the cost of a Annaprashan
An hour at home, a short list, and the kheer made by the family — the quote is essentially the pandit's time and travel. The tray of objects set before the child afterwards is the family's and belongs to no package.
What is different in Rajgir
Rajgir is small and its distances are short, but the town's ritual centre is the kunds rather than the houses, so a rite kept there carries the travel and the timing of a site visit. The Malamas fair in the intercalary month is the one period when nothing local can be planned around.
