What the price is made of
- Pandit fee
- Paid to the named pandit who performs the ritual.
- Samagri
- The items the ritual needs, itemised when the package includes them.
- Travel
- The pandit's travel to the address you give, by distance band.
- Platform fee
- What BookMyPandiit charges to run the platform. It is a line of its own: it is never taken out of the pandit's fee and never presented as dakshina.
- Temple charge
- Charged by the temple when the ritual is performed there, and only then.
- GST
- Tax charged as the law requires, shown separately.

Questions about cost
Is dakshina extra?
No. Dakshina is inside the package price and reaches the pandit in full. You may of course give something personally, and many families do — it is never expected.
Why is there GST on a puja?
We are a marketplace providing a service, so GST applies to the service value. It is shown as its own line rather than folded into the price.
Can the price change after booking?
Only if you change the booking — more pandits, a longer vidhi, a venue further out. The change is priced in the app and you approve it before it applies.
Do you price differently for a temple venue?
Temple pujas can carry the temple’s own charges, which are shown separately when the temple has an agreement with us.
