About Iskcon Patna
The ISKCON temple at Buddha Marg is the newest major temple in Patna and the most visibly different — built in the Nagara style with a marble interior, opened in 2019, and run to the Gaudiya Vaishnava calendar rather than the local one.
Radha and Krishna are the presiding deities, with Gaura-Nitai and Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra also on the altar. The daily programme of aartis is fixed and published, kirtan runs through the evening, and Janmashtami is the year's largest event by a wide margin.
Buddha Marg is a main road and the temple has its own grounds, which makes it the easiest of Patna's temples to reach with elders and with a car. The programme is fixed and published, so a visit is planned around an aarti time rather than around the crowd.
